Manipur Police intercepted methamphetamine drugs worth Rs 22 crore from a truck coming from Imphal and arrested the driver at New Keithelmanbi Police Picket late Friday.
The contraband drugs, 50 (fifty) packets weighing 57.285 kg, were found concealed inside the roof ceiling of the said truck coming from Imphal towards Keithelmanbi areas.
The arrested driver of the truck has been identified as Nawaj Sharif (34) of Lilong Chingjao, Thoubal District of Manipur.
Police have launched further investigation on the seized contraband drugs.
