Feb. 19, 2025 : Assam Rifles, in coordination with Zokhawthar Police, seized 9.298 kg of methamphetamine tablets at Crossing Point Two (Vangkai), Zokhawthar, Champhai district, on February 17, 2025. Two Myanmar nationals were arrested.
The accused were identified as Lalthangvela (28), son of Hrangthanzema, and Zaithangpuia (26), son of Raldothanga, both residents of Khawmawi, Myanmar.
The seized consignment and the arrested individuals were handed over to Zokhawthar Police for further legal proceedings.
