MAY 7, 2025: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has now begun its press conference today to brief on ‘Operation Sindoor’, with details regarding the operation expected to be shared during the briefing.
The strikes were carried out to avenge the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and to eliminate Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leaders involved in planning and executing terrorist attacks in India.
Confirmed strike locations included Muzaffarabad and Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and Bahawalpur in Pakistan’s Punjab province, all of which have been linked to militant operations. Muzaffabad serves as the administrative capital of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and is strategically significant. Unconfirmed reports indicated that India’s precision strikes resulted in eight fatalities and over 35 injuries. (More reports are awaited.)
