The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting is all set to sponsor the participation of 7 representatives (state nominees), 5 students, and 2 filmmakers from the state in the upcoming International Film Festival, and the concerned direction (films) has already written to the concerned state authority of the 7 Northeast Regions.
The Ministry, through the National Film Development Corporation, shall cover the expenses related to the delegation’s participation that includes airfare and accommodation for the state nominees from the respective states and asked the state concern authority to submit names at the latest by the 17th of January.
The seven representatives should include two young filmmakers and five North East students from film schools/students enrolled in AVGC courses or budding filmmakers nominated by the Film Federation of the NE States.
The International Festival includes the International Film Festival of Rotterdam (IFFR), Netherlands (30 Jan – 9th Jan, 2025); Berlin International Film Festival, Germany (13-23 Feb); Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART), Hong Kong; Game Conference, Developers San Francisco, USA 2. 17-20 March.
