APRIL 6, 2026 (IMP): An internally displaced minor sheltering at Akampat Relief Camp, who was reported missing since Sunday at 7:30 PM, was found dead under Singjamei Bridge early this morning.
The deceased minor has been identified as Baby (Name change), daughter of Oinam Basanta of Moreh Ward No. 9, who was sheltering at Akampat Relief Camp.
A meeting is currently being held at Akampat concerning the issue.
The Irilbung Police has picked up a 28-year-old IDP from the same relief camp in connection with the incident. The individual has been identified as Laishram Lanngamba Singh (28), son of L. Bira of Moreh Ward No. 9.
