One native woman from Mizoram has been arrested along with seven others, including six Nigerian nationals, from Sector 39 of Gurugram with drugs worth Rs 1 crore, including cocaine. The arrested woman has been identified as Lal Kothari.
The seized drugs include 1.60 kg of sulfa (cannabis derivatives), 904 gm of cocaine, and 2.34 kg of raw cocaine, along with recovered Rs 7,500 cash, 42 mobile phones, three electronic scales, eight packing packets, and six bundles of tape. The operation was launched on Wednesday night and continued into Thursday.
The tip-off came after the arrest of a Nepali national, first from Sector 39, identified as Bimal Pahadi, who is among the ring and revealed the names of seven other accomplices.
Among the arrested Nigerians, five of them did not have valid documents to stay in India, except one, and they were booked under the Foreigners Act. The arrested Nigerians have been identified as Ugochukmv John, Nnajiofor Peter Nmaemeka, Henry Onuchukwu, Ojukwa Ifenya, Tobias Chikwu, and Okolie Romanus. Only Ojukwa Ifenya has valid documentation for staying in India.
