March 3, 2025: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and MLA of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency, K Meghachandra, has urged the Governor of Manipur and the concerned department to extend financial aid to the families affected by the hailstorm that rained last night.
The MLA of Wangkhem AC also visited and inspected some of the affected houses due to the hailstorm located in Khoirom, Heitroipokpi, and Kekru Villages in Thoubal District yesterday.
Manipur witnessed a mild hailstorm in some areas post-midnight at around 1:20 am this morning. The hailstorm in some parts of Thoubal District affected the roofs of some houses and vegetable gardens, mainly at Yairipok Kekru, Khoirom, and Yairipok Bamol Leikai under Wangkhem Assembly Constituency.
