MNYO Backs Bandh Against Tiger-German Road, SoO Camps, and Poppy in Naga Areas; Kuki Rally Pleads for Safe Passage

The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO-HQ) has thrown its full support behind the ongoing indefinite bandh called by the Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC), protesting against the construction of the Tiger and German roads through Naga ancestral lands without consent, the establishment of Kuki militants’ SoO camps, and the spread of poppy plantations and drug trafficking in Naga-inhabited areas.

The MNYO condemned what it described as systematic encroachment and exploitation of Naga resources, calling on all Naga tribes and civil society organisations in Manipur to unite in resisting these threats.

Meanwhile, in a contrasting development, the Kuki community held a rally appealing for communal harmony and requesting safe passage during the bandh.

The MNYO reiterated its support for FNCC’s “peaceful and democratic” movement, warning that failure to act now would result in a slow erosion of Naga rights and territories.
