MP Bimol Raises Concerns Over AIIMS Exam Centre Allocation

Feb 22, 2025 : Lok Sabha MP Dr. Bimol Akoijam addressed a series of urgent letters highlighting concerns over the allocation of examination centres for candidates from Manipur appearing for the AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-2024.

The letters, addressed to various officials, including AIIMS Director Dr. M. Srinivas, Health Ministry Secretary Srivastava, Health Minister J.P. Nadda, and Minister Kiren Rijiju, emphasized the critical issue of candidates being assigned centres outside Manipur despite opting for Imphal.

In the letters, Dr. Akoijam highlighted the challenges faced by many candidates, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, due to economic hardships and limited accessibility amidst the current situation in Manipur.

He urged immediate intervention to reassign affected candidates to their originally preferred centres in Imphal to prevent undue hardship and ensure fairness in the examination process.

The MP’s proactive stance aims to safeguard the interests of Manipuri aspirants and ensure they are not unfairly disadvantaged in pursuing their academic and professional aspirations.
