October 9, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP from Manipur, Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, has been rendered unable to attend public events and social functions after being diagnosed with dengue fever, according to an official communiqué from his office issued today.
The statement, signed by Maisnam Shivadutta Singh, PA/PS to the MP, informed that the MP will remain away from official and social commitments for around two weeks starting October 9 as he recuperates.
All well-wishers, civil society bodies, and government departments have been requested to understand his temporary unavailability and to refrain from extending event invitations during this recovery period.
The communiqué expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and added that the MP will resume his duties and attend public engagements as soon as his health permits.
