The rally, which began from Congress Bhawan, Imphal, was flagged off by CLP Leader and former Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh, MPCC President K. Meghachandra, and CWC Member Gaikhangam.

Hundreds of Congress workers participated, riding through localities including Khurai Lamlong Bazar, Heingang, Achanbigei, Khurkhul, Mayang Langjing, Lamsang Bazar, Uripok, and returning to B.T. Road.

Speaking on the occasion, MPCC President K. Meghachandra said, “Rajiv Gandhi believed in communal harmony and inclusive growth. Today’s rally is our tribute to his vision of a united India.”

Former Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh added, “At a time when divisions are being created, Rajiv Gandhi’s legacy reminds us that India’s strength lies in unity and peace.”

The MPCC reiterated that Sadbhavana Diwas will continue to be observed every year to uphold the ideals of late Rajiv Gandhi.
