MPCC Chief Urges MP Saptagiri Ulaka to Raise Manipur Crisis in Parliament

MARCH 11, 2025: The President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), K. Meghachandra, has urged the AICC in-charge of Manipur and Lok Sabha MP, Saptagiri Sanker Ulaka, to raise several pressing issues concerning the state during parliamentary debates.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Meghachandra apprised the MP to emphasize the need for the Prime Minister to visit Manipur and engage directly with its people while also demanding the resignation of the Home Minister for failing to protect lives, properties, and ensure free movement on all roads, including national highways.

He further stressed the importance of upholding Article 174(1) of the Indian Constitution in the Manipur Legislative Assembly, restoring peace and normalcy in the state, and ensuring the safe return of all internally displaced persons to their original homes with adequate security provided by the government.
