A 10-member NSS team from Manipur University, led by Dr. Chaoreikanba of the Department of Dance and Music, was flagged off on Monday for participation in the National Integration Camp (NIC) 2025 by Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Lokendra Singh.
The camp, scheduled from January 21 to 27, will be held at Assam Agricultural University in Jorhat, Assam.
During the flag-off ceremony at the university campus, Prof. Lokendra highlighted that the camp would provide NSS members from various states an opportunity to interact and engage in discussions on key national issues, such as patriotism, unity in diversity, and socio-economic development.
He expressed confidence that the camp would foster a deeper sense of national pride and responsibility among the participants.
The Vice-Chancellor also conveyed that a member from the Department of Anthropology, Manipur University, had received a special invitation from the Ministry of Youth to participate in the Republic Day celebrations, calling it a proud moment for the university.
