Feb. 5, 2025: In two separate incidents, the Assam Rifles, along with Mizoram Police, apprehended a Myanmarese (Myanmar national) with Heroin No. 4 worth Rs 82.50 lakhs from Champhai district in Mizoram on Monday. The arrest was made, in coordination with Mizoram Police, from General Area Crossing Point-III (Khurte Kai), Zokhawthar.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the Assam Rifles, along with the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Excise & Narcotics (Aizawl), seized 50 grams of Heroin No. 4 (worth Rs 35 lakhs) and apprehended one woman from the Zodin Bridge area of the state capital, Aizawl.
