In a tragic incident that has shocked residents, the sudden passing of 51-year-old Nongthongbam Ningol R.K. Lakhibai has raised serious concerns over the circumstances surrounding her death.
Late Lakhibai, wife of 72-year-old R.K. Chaoba, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her husband’s residence in Sogolband Bijoy Govinda.
Her parental home is located at Khurai Lamlong Bazar, Puthiba Leikai.
Initial reports suggest she was discovered hanging at around 1 PM today, with visible signs of injury, following an altercation at the residence earlier in the day, a disturbance reportedly witnessed by neighbours.
Responding swiftly, police have launched a full-scale investigation, which will include a post-mortem examination, to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances of her death.
