March 13, 2025: Six Naga Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) met with the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal today, amid the ongoing President’s Rule in the state and the suspension of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The MLAs—Awangbow Newmai, Khashim Vashum, Losii Dikho, Leishiyo Keishing, J. Kumo Sha, and Janghemlung Panmei—briefed the Governor on a range of pressing issues faced by the common people of the state.
Despite the suspension of the Assembly and the political uncertainty under President’s Rule, the MLAs expressed their strong commitment to supporting efforts for peace and stability.
They assured the Governor of their full cooperation in every step toward restoring normalcy in the region.
The legislators conveyed their confidence that, with the Governor’s leadership, Manipur would soon emerge from its current turmoil and return to peace. They expressed optimism that the state, despite its political challenges, would regain stability and overcome the ongoing crisis.
