Feb. 15, 2025: The two-day Lui-Ngai-Ni, one of the biggest festivals of the Naga tribes that marks seed-sowing, was held across the state in many Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur on Saturday.
In the state capital, the festival was organized at Mao-Poumai Baptist Church in Langol, attended by CAF & PD Minister Leishangthem Susindro and IGP Dr. I.K. Muivah as the chief guest and president of the function, respectively. In Langol, after offering prayers to the creator of the universe, the event witnessed folk songs and cultural dances performed by the Tangkhul, Maring Naga, Anal, and Rongmei Naga communities.
The grand event was organized at Katomei in Senapati district, Manipur, by the United Naga Council (UNC) with the theme “Celebrating Naga Cultural Fusion.”
