The 5th Foundation Day of Nahasingee Khongthang, a rising non-political social organisation, was celebrated today at Wairi Kong-goi Community Hall, Kakching. The function was attended by dignitaries including former minister Nongmaithem Nimai, Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association (KBBWA) president Yengkhom Rajendra, United Clubs Organisation (UCO) president Moirangthem Brojen, UCO vice president Pukhrambam Godhador, and NK president Rabi Mayanglambam, among others.
In his address, NK president Rabi Mayanglambam called on youths not to remain idle or misguided but to actively engage in agriculture, social service, infrastructure development, environmental preservation, and livelihood creation. He stressed that by joining hands with civil society organisations and clubs, youths could become a powerful force for positive change. He reaffirmed NK’s commitment to serving the people of Kakching with sincerity and dedication and appealed for greater youth participation in its initiatives.
As part of the programme, the organisation distributed gifts of encouragement to individuals and local clubs for their contributions to social service in Kakching. The celebration concluded with traditional dances and songs, adding cultural significance to the day.
