Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat@2047 Special Outreach Programme Held

Thoubal, March 10— The Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Imphal, organized a Special Outreach Programme on Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat@2047 on Tuesday at the complex of the Women’s Income Generation Centre (WIGC) located at Thoubal Wangmataba.

At the event, Oinam Agusti Devi, Managing Director of the Women’s Income Generation Centre (WIGC), and Dr. Yumnam Premananda Singh, HOD Law and Director of the Centre for Human Rights, Manipur University, served as Resource Persons. Modhuchandra Kshetrimayum, Secretary of Wangmataba Youth Club; Thoudam Inaobi Devi, Secretary of Wangmataba Meira Paibi; Dr. Waribam Urmila Devi, FPO, CBC, Field Office Senapati; and H. Deepakkumar Sharma, FEO, CBC, Regional Office Imphal, were the Presidium Members.

H. Deepakkumar Sharma, FEO, CBC, Regional Office, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Imphal, speaking on the occasion of the Special Outreach Programme, stated that Manipur is a region that values its women greatly. Therefore, he urged that the women of Manipur should serve as examples of ideal women among other states.

He further stated that during India’s 100th year of independence, as the country strives to become a developed nation, the women of Manipur should adopt strategies to excel beyond women of other states and work together to play a significant role when the country develops in 2047.

As part of the programme, a quiz competition was also held, and prizes were awarded to those who answered correctly. The event also included cultural performances by Departmental Troupes and PRTs, along with street plays, in which various youths and women from Thoubal participated.
