March 22, 2025 : The district-level launch of National Deworming Day 2025 (1st round) was held at Khangshim Community Hall, Tengnoupal District. The event was attended by Dr. P. Angkhong Rongmei, CMO Tengnoupal, along with medical officers from Machi, Tengnoupal, and Rilam Centre.
National Deworming Day aims to improve the health and well-being of children aged 1-19 years by providing deworming treatment through schools and Anganwadi Centers. The initiative helps enhance their nutrition, education, and overall quality of life.
Organized by the District Health Society, Tengnoupal, the event saw participation from around 100 ASHA facilitators, Anganwadi workers, school teachers, and students.
