Jan. 30, 2025: S. Athouba Wins Another Gold in Duathlon, Oinam Malemnganbi & T. Saya Chanu in Wushu
The sports stars from the tiny state of Manipur have now begun to shine at the ongoing 38th National Games. Altogether, Manipur has so far clinched 6 Gold and 4 Silver, making it a total of 10 in the medal tally.
Sarungbam Athouba, who opened the first medal account in Triathlon, added another Gold in Duathlon, while Oinam Malemnganbi and T. Saya Chanu also won a Gold medal each in Wushu.
T. Saya Chanu took the Gold in the Women’s Changquan Competition, while Oinam Malemnganbi won in Taijiquan. The other Wushu players who added more medals to the tally are Marshal Salam and K. Panthoi Devi, who secured Silver medals in their respective categories.
