National Sports Day 2025 was celebrated at the Multipurpose Community Hall, Khangabok Part II, in an event jointly organized by Mera Yuva Bharat, Thoubal, United Judo Academy, and Thoubal Taekwondo Academy. The celebration marked the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
The programme was graced by Konsam Lokendro Singh, District Advisory Committee member of Mera Yuva Bharat, along with coaches and trainers including Moirangthem Sanathoi Singh, Moirangthem Inaton Singh (United Judo Academy), Moirangthem Ranbir Meitei, Head Coach and Founder of Thoubal Taekwondo Academy, and Moirangthem Kiranbala Devi, Judo Coach.
In his address, Konsam Lokendro Singh highlighted the role of sports in shaping discipline and character, urging young athletes to strive for excellence. A discussion on fitness and the importance of sporting culture was also held, with nearly 80 boys and girls actively taking part.
The event also reaffirmed commitment towards a drug-free society through a Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan pledge. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Moirangthem Inaton Singh encouraged participants to remain dedicated and focused on their sporting goals.
