National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was observed at District Hospital, Thoubal Khangabok on Wednesday.
The event was organised by the Blood Center and Transfusion Unit, District Hospital, Thoubal Khangabok, under the sponsorship of the State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur.
At the event, Dr. Nokul Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal; Dr. W. Ruhinikumar Singh, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Thoubal Khangabok; Dr. L. Dorendro Singh, Medical Officer in Charge, BCTU, District Hospital, Thoubal Khangabok; and Dr. S. Robindro, Specialist in TM, BC & TU, District Hospital, Thoubal Khangabok, participated as chief guest, president, and guests of honour respectively.
As part of the programme, blood donor organisations like District Police Thoubal, Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur, Thoubal and Chandel District Branch, Indian Red Cross Society Thoubal and Kakching District Branch, Royal Fitness Gym Center Thoubal Wangmataba, Unified Rural Development Organisation Kairembikhok, and NSS Units of Waikhom Mani Girls College Thoubal Okram were felicitated, honouring the noble cause of blood donation.
