March 14, 2025: A joint team of the Narcotics Control Bureau-Imphal and Manipur Police arrested three individuals and intercepted a large consignment of WY Tablets, approximately 102.393 kg of contraband drugs, near Lilong Police Station in Thoubal District.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amaldas Xalxo (42), son of Lachit Gaon, Sarupathar, Golaghat District, Assam; Mohammad Khurshid of Lilong Hangamthabi, Thoubal District; and Mahedi Alom (18), son of Abdul Mannas Ali of VTC Borthai Kachari Gaon, Marigaon, Assam.
Police also seized one truck and another four-wheeler used by the arrested persons to transport the contraband drugs.
