Guwahati, Nov 4, 2025: Many key leaders from the Northeast states have come together under one roof as ‘ONE North East’ to bring a new political landscape to the region and to consolidate regional aspirations with the launch of the “ONE NORTH EAST” initiative, aimed at creating a singular political platform to amplify the region’s voice in national politics.
This joint effort and political statement were announced at a press conference held today at New Delhi’s Constitution Club of India, joined by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya of Tripura, Nagaland leader Mmhonlumo Kikon, People’s Party Assam founder Daniel Langthasa, NPP Working President James Sangma, and NPP National General Secretary.
“We, the leaders from the different states of the Northeast, have come together today to make a collective and historic announcement, which is the coming together of various voices of the region to form a united, singular political entity that truly represents the political aspirations of the people of the region,” stated Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma in the presser.
The alliance seeks to transcend party lines and consolidate regional aspirations under one banner for stronger political influence.
