NEROCA FC has extended heartfelt thanks to its supporters and well-wishers following the club’s participation in the ongoing Durand Cup 2025, despite encountering considerable financial challenges. The squad was assembled on short notice to compete in the tournament hosted at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal, where they played three consecutive matches: a 1-1 draw against TRAU FC, a goalless draw versus INFT, and a 1-3 loss to RKFC.
In an official statement, the club’s Honorary General Secretary, Dr. Moirangthem Manimohon, acknowledged the vital physical, financial, and moral support extended by donors, members, sympathizers, and football enthusiasts throughout Manipur. He conveyed the club’s profound appreciation for their unwavering cooperation and expressed hope for continued encouragement going forward.
Dr. Manimohon also addressed the team’s on-field performances, recognizing that the results did not meet the expectations of the club or its supporters. “We apologize for not delivering the outcomes our fans anticipated and remain steadfast in our commitment to enhancing future performances,” he remarked.
Furthermore, NEROCA FC expressed gratitude to the Durand Cup 2025 organizing committee and media personnel for their instrumental roles in ensuring a seamless tournament experience.
