NEROCA FC and Indian Navy FT played out a goalless draw in their Group F fixture of the 134th IndianOil Durand Cup at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium on Wednesday.
In a match dominated by midfield duels and defensive solidity, both sides created opportunities but lacked the finishing edge. Early chances fell to Deny Singh and Lourembam, while NEROCA’s Kinesh Singh and Indian Navy’s Sreyas came close in the second half. The best moment of the match came in the 88th minute when Sreyas hit the post for the Navy side.
The game ended with a red card for NEROCA’s Zlex in injury time for a tactical foul. Indian Navy FT, now with four points, sit atop Group F and face TRAU FC next on August 12. NEROCA, with two draws from two, will take on Real Kashmir FC on August 10.
