Imphal, February 11, 2026: The North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association Football Club (NEROCA FC) expresses profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of its former Treasurer and esteemed member, Late Khomdram Chanbi @ Jhambi of Laipham Siphai (Khunou), Imphal East District, Manipur, who departed for his heavenly abode on February 9, 2026.
In a press release issued by Dr. Moirangthem Manimohon, Honorary General Secretary, NEROCA FC, the Club conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and paid rich tribute to the departed member’s invaluable service and unwavering dedication to the organisation.
Late Khomdram Chanbi made significant and selfless contributions towards the growth and development of NEROCA FC. He served the Club with dedication as Treasurer during 1992–1993 and later as a Member during 1993–1995 and 1997–1999. His commitment, sincerity, and tireless efforts played a vital role in strengthening the foundation of the Club, and his services will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
A condolence meeting was held by NEROCA FC on February 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the residence of the late Jhambi. The meeting was chaired by Abujam Brajamani, Vice President, NEROCA FC. Members of the Club expressed their heartfelt condolences and shared the grief of the bereaved family.
As a mark of respect, a two-minute silence was observed in a standing position, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul in the heavenly abode of the Almighty God.
NEROCA FC affirmed that the Club shall forever cherish the immense contributions of Late Khomdram Chanbi, who served the organisation as a faithful and dedicated member.
