In connection with the 2024 Jiribam killing of three women and three minor children, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another individual identified as Lalrosang Hmar alias Rosang, of Moinathol village in Assam’s Dilkhosh Grant, Cachar.
This second arrest came soon after the arrest of one key conspirator, Thanglienlal Hmar alias Boya, jointly with the Assam Police. It may be mentioned that three women and three children were abducted and brutally murdered by militants in the Borebekra area of the Jiribam District of Manipur on November 11 last year. Later, the bodies were found disposed of near the Barak River.
The NIA has recovered one mobile phone, along with a SIM card from the arrested, and is continuing the investigation in the case.
