April 14, 2026 (IMP): The investigation into the Tronglaobi incident by the NIA is at an advancing stage, and the government has been constantly in touch with the agency, State Home Minister K. Govindas Singh informed the media on Tuesday on the sidelines while attending the observance of Fire Service Week 2026 at the Manipur Fire Service Headquarters, Imphal.
The Home Minister also informed that the incident has not been taken lightly by the government and appealed to the public to support efforts in bringing peace to the state.
During the day’s observance, the Home Minister further stated that the state government is now focusing on procuring modern and advanced equipment for the fire department so that eventualities can be handled without much obstacle.
During the observance, the State Home Minister also honoured the Best Firefighter Award 2026 and presented Certificates of Appreciation to officers and personnel of the Manipur Fire Services for their selfless service, wishing them continued success in their noble duty.
