The National People’s Party (NPP) has officially informed the Manipur Legislative Assembly that Kakching MLA M. Rameshwar Singh has been unanimously chosen as the new Leader of the NPP Legislature Party in the state.
The appointment was conveyed through a letter dated November 22, 2025, issued by NPP National President Conrad K. Sangma to the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, Thokchom Satyabrata Singh. The communication requested the Speaker’s office to take the nomination on record and initiate necessary action.
The change takes effect immediately as per the letter.
