NSCN (IM) Urged to Intervene as Kuki-Zo Militant-Led Road Projects (German & Tiger Roads) Threaten Naga Ancestral Lands

The Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) has submitted a memorandum to the NSCN (IM), raising strong objections to the construction of the proposed German Road and Tiger Road, allegedly initiated by the Kuki-Zo militant group through Naga-inhabited foothill regions west of Imphal.

Citing the presence of armed cadres and unauthorized Myanmarese settlements along the route, the RNCM warned that the projects pose a serious threat to the security, dignity, and territorial rights of the Rongmei, Liangmei, and Inpui Nagas.

The Council has appealed for immediate intervention from NSCN (IM) to prevent further escalation in the already volatile region.
