JAN 4, 2026 (DEL/IMP): Preparations are in full swing for the oath-taking ceremony of the newly inducted Chief Minister of Manipur, along with some of his cabinet, at Lok Bhawan in Imphal. The ceremony is likely to begin today at 5:30 PM (Wednesday).
The new leadership team, along with two Deputy CMs, is scheduled to arrive in the state capital, Imphal, at around 11 AM in a non-scheduled chartered flight, accompanied by the BJP National President, the BJP NE In-Charge, and the State President, according to sources.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA K. Govindas of the Bishnupur Assembly Constituency is also likely to be sworn in as Home Minister, while MLA Nemcha Kipgen of Kangpokpi and MLA Losii Dikho of Mao AC will be sworn in as Deputy CMs of Manipur.
While this report is being drafted, sources from Imphal said preparations are also underway at Lok Bhawan in Imphal, located in the state capital of Manipur.
