With tricolours flying high and creative activities in full swing, Bishnupur district is celebrating the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) Campaign 2025 with marked enthusiasm. The campaign, observed nationwide from August 2 to 15 in three phases, has seen schools across the district hosting Tiranga-inspired wall and board decorations, rangoli contests, rallies, and online quizzes on MyGov.in.
Oinam Government Higher Secondary School has been at the forefront, hosting the district-level quiz competition on the “History of Tiranga” as part of the celebrations. Students have also penned letters expressing gratitude to soldiers and police personnel. Selfies with the national flag, uploaded to the official campaign site, have added to the digital engagement.
Beyond schools, municipal and district departments are also playing an active role. Nambol Municipal Council has conducted door-to-door visits urging household participation, while the District Child Protection Unit organised a Tiranga Rakhi-making competition for the inmates of the Girls’ World Open Shelter. Upcoming events include flag-hoisting ceremonies and illumination of institutions and offices.
