Manipur Police today arrested one person and seized a large quantity of liquor, including Old Monk, beer, and Iconiq, during an operation at the Korsantabi area under Sugnu Police Station in Kakching district.
The arrested individual has been identified as Laishram Rajib Singh (37) of Jiri Kalinagar Part-3, presently residing at Sugnu Makha Leikai, Kakching district.
Police recovered 84 bottles of 500 ml beer of different brands, 96 bottles of Old Monk (180 ml each), 72 bottles of Old Monk (375 ml each), and 24 bottles of Iconiq White (375 ml each) from his possession. A four-wheeler used in connection with the case was also seized.
A case has been registered at Sugnu Police Station, and further investigation is in progress.
