Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, the newly appointed Chief Secretary of Manipur, touched down at Imphal International Airport amidst a warm reception on Sunday.
He was received by Commissioner (Home) N. Ashok Kumar and Principal Secretary for Agriculture, Forest, and Environment Arun Kumar Sinha. Dr. Goel expressed his dedication to serving the state.
Following a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on July 15, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, a seasoned IAS officer, assumed the role, succeeding Prashant Kumar Singh, who has been reassigned to a central post.
The reshuffle, finalised by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), underscores the government’s commitment to effective governance.
“I am here to contribute wholeheartedly to the progress of Manipur,” remarked Dr. Goel.
