Thoubal, June 04 : One police commando personnel was stabbed to death with a knife by an unknown person.
The ill-fated incident took place on Wednesday night at around 8 PM at Moijing Meena Bazar Thongkhong under Thoubal Police Station, Thoubal district.
The deceased commando was identified as Khoirom Suresh from Yairipok, posted at Thoubal Commando as a Head Constable.
According to sources, Khoirom Suresh was stabbed to death with a knife by an unknown person while trying to nab a person in connection with a drug-related case at Moijing Meena Bazar Thongkhong, Thoubal district. He was rushed to Thoubal District Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
