Local residents of Changamdabi Makha Leikai discovered a male body at the bank of the Thoubal River around 8:30 a.m. today under Andro Police Station in Imphal East district.
The body is suspected to have been dumped in the area after the deceased was beaten to death by unknown persons. Police have identified the victim as Md. Firoz Khan (43), son of the late Jalal of Yairipok Changamdabi Makha Leikai, Madrasa Road.
