With intelligence inputs and a subsequent search operation, one PLA active member has been arrested from Jiribam Bazar on Monday.
The arrested person has been identified as Sairem Basanta Singh alias Bomcha alias Angamba (39) of Lakhipur Ward No. 8 from Jiribam Bazar, Jiribam district.
According to police, the arrested person is involved in extortion activities in the state.
