During a frisk and check operation near the Sugnu-Chandel Road, security forces arrested one United Kuki National Army (UKNA) cadre and handed him over to the Chandel Police Station for further legal processing.
The interception and arrest were carried out by the Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Manipur Police, at a Mobile Vehicle Check Post on Monday. The individual was identified as Boythong Khongsai.
The apprehended person, along with the seized items from the UKNA cadre, was handed over to the concerned police station, according to the Assam Rifles.
