July 23, 2025: During a frisk and check operation near the Sugnu-Chandel road, one United Kuki National Army (UKNA) cadre was arrested and handed over to the Chandel Police Station for further legal processing.
The interception and arrest were carried out by the Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Manipur Police, at a Mobile Vehicle Check Post on Monday. The individual has been identified as Boythong Khongsai.
The apprehended person, along with the seized item from the UKNA cadre, has been handed over to the concerned police station, according to the Assam Rifles.
