Operation Brahma: First Relief Consignment from India Reaches Yangon

March 29, 2025: The first relief consignment of humanitarian aid from India reached Yangon Airport in Myanmar this morning.
The first consignment of relief material was formally handed over to the Chief Minister of Yangon, U Soe Thein, by Ambassador Abhay Thakur in Yangon today.

PM Narendra Modi yesterday announced that India is ready to extend its assistance to Myanmar and Thailand.

In the earthquake that shook Myanmar and Thailand, over 1,000 are feared dead, and over 50 are feared missing in Bangkok.
The six worst-hit places in Myanmar have been declared a state of emergency by the Myanmar Authority.
