Outreach programme promotes ‘Viksit Bharat – 2047’ vision in Purum Tampak Village

Jan. 28, 2025: In a historic move for Manipur, Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths and Director of Health Services, Dr. Chambo Golmei, on Tuesday inaugurated the state’s first Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR) for children aged 0-5 years at the District Hospital, Thoubal.

An outreach programme aimed at raising awareness about the “Viksit Bharat – 2047” vision for a developed India was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in Purum Tampak Village, Chandel district.

The event saw active participation from local leaders and officials, including Makan Kanwar Chothe, VLW of TD Chandel Block; Y. Brojen Chothe, Chairman of Purum Tampak Village; PR Washington, Village Secretary; and PR Singha Chothe, an Anganwadi Worker under ICDS.

Mathew SK Bengam, Field Publicity Assistant (FPA) of CBC, Chandel, spoke on the significance of the “Viksit Bharat” vision, outlining the roadmap for India’s development by 2047. He highlighted the key pillars of the mission, such as youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, women’s development, and support for farmers.

PR Singha Chothe, representing ICDS, stressed the importance of maternal and child health programmes, urging women to make use of ICDS services, including child nutrition, pre-school education, immunisation, and health check-ups.

The programme also featured a spot quiz contest, which engaged participants and rewarded winners, adding an interactive element to the awareness campaign.
