Padma Ratana English School Celebrates Golden Jubilee

“One cannot achieve success without competition” – Dr. Dorendrajit

In today’s world, where humanity and society are rapidly changing, competition has become essential for everyone. The growing generation must engage in activities that build discipline and strength for a bright career. During the event, Former Dean of the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Manipur University, Dr. Shougaijam Dorendrajit, stated that through competitions, students can improve their physical abilities, teamwork, and character. He added that by participating in such events, students can also enhance their knowledge, leadership qualities, and social responsibility, which will help them succeed in their studies and future lives.

The event was organized as part of the 50th foundation anniversary celebration of Padma Ratana English School, Kakching, marking the school’s Golden Jubilee year.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Shougaijam Dorendrajit, Former Dean, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Manipur University, as the Chief Guest; President and Vice President of the Managing Committee, Padma Ratana English School (PRES), Kakching, as Guests of Honour; President of the Alumni Association, Naorem Britain; and special invitees including Superintendent of Police, Kakching, Priyadarshini Laishram (MPS), and Officer-in-Charge, New Keithelmanbi Police Station, Kangpokpi District, Inspector Md. Abash Khan, who together participated in the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Kakching, Priyadarshini Laishram (MPS), said that Padma Ratana English School has become one of the most reputable institutions in Manipur, with Kakching emerging as an educational hub in the region. She highlighted that schools play a vital role in shaping responsible citizens by encouraging academic excellence and co-curricular participation. She emphasized that such events help nurture talented individuals who can contribute positively to society and promote unity, discipline, and progress.

As part of the event, dignitaries inaugurated a newly constructed children’s park on the school premises. The school’s students showcased their talents through various performances, including thang-ta (martial arts), piano playing, singing, dancing, Manipuri and English recitations, and many other competitions and activities.
