Pangal Students’ Prez Slams Centre and MLAs for Power Hunt Amid Crisis, Calls Delay in Forming Manipur Govt ‘A Shameful Negligence’

Pangal Students’ Organisation (PSO) President Farid Bogimayum attacked both the Centre and Manipur’s MLAs, accusing them of “heartless political games” while the state continues to suffer from over two years of violence and instability.

Speaking at the organisation’s 17th Foundation Day held at the Manipur Press Club’s Loktak Hall, Farid condemned the Centre’s reported plan to form a “popular government” in Manipur only after the Bihar elections, terming it a “shameful display of negligence towards the people’s suffering.”

He also lambasted Manipur’s MLAs for “camping in Delhi and fighting for ministerial berths instead of fighting for peace,” asserting that their priorities have completely drifted away from public interest.

Addressing the gathering, the PSO President further highlighted the growing gap between government and private schools, blaming it on the irresponsibility of senior officials in the Education Department.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including AMUCO President Sanjoy Sorokhaibam, MSF President Hijam Roshan, AMMPACO President Yumkhaibam Hayatur Rahman, and Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa Principal Wangkhem Rameshor.
