Believe it or not, paranormal panic has gripped one school in Teliamura Block in Tripura, after four students of Moharcherra Higher Secondary School fainted after allegedly encountering a ghostly figure near the school bathroom.
The incident has triggered fear of a supernatural or malevolent spirit presence at the school campus since Friday. All four students—three female students of Class-VII and one male student of Class-VI—were found unconscious and admitted to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital by school authorities.
The panic began when one of the students went to use the bathroom and claimed to have seen an eerie, black-colored, deformed human-like figure. The terrified student ran back to the classroom. Shortly after, three more girls who went near the same area reportedly witnessed a similar sight. All of them screamed in fright and eventually fainted, according to local TV and online news reports.
Locals and some guardians allege that Moharcherra Higher Secondary School has long had a reputation for spooky incidents and unexplained events. Several unnatural deaths have also reportedly occurred on the premises in the past, deepening the aura of fear among students, a local report said.
While the incident has reignited speculation about paranormal activity, a section of parents has demanded a thorough investigation to determine whether something else—psychological, environmental, or otherwise—may be behind the repeated incidents.
