People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), availing ART services from the JNIMS ART Centre and the Paediatric Centre of Excellence (PCOE), JNIMS Imphal, can now access ART services from the MACS Store, R&D Wing, located at Lamphelpat in Imphal West district.
Considering the temporary shutdown of JNIMS due to the severe flood situation in the hospital, the Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) arranged a temporary facility for ART clients registered at the above centers (JNIMS ART Centre) so that they can continue receiving their ART services without interruption during office hours.
The JNIMS Imphal has announced the temporary closure of its hospital facilities following severe flooding caused by relentless rainfall. The decision, reached during an emergency meeting held yesterday, comes in response to the adverse impact on the JNIMS campus, including disruptions to essential services and concerns over safety hazards.
Medical Superintendent Prof. Kh. Lokeshwar Singh emphasised that the closure is crucial to ensure the safety of patients, healthcare workers, and hospital infrastructure amidst the ongoing challenges posed by the flooding.
