Kakching, Oct 25: A Plastic-Free Campaign was launched on Saturday at Sora market and nearby areas under the leadership of Kakching District SP Priyadarshini Laishram, MPS.
The initiative focused on collecting and properly disposing of plastic bags and other plastic waste. The campaign was jointly organized by the All Sora Clubs Coordinating Committee (ASCCOC), local club members, Kakching Police Station staff led by OC Ph. Priyobarta, and the Sora Outpost team led by Md. Isad Maibam.
SP Laishram Priyadarshini emphasized that single-use plastics pose a serious environmental threat and urged people to adopt sustainable alternatives, recycle plastic items, and maintain clean surroundings.
