FEB 4, 2026 (IMP): Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the new Chief Minister Y. Khemchand, Deputy CMs Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho, and the newly inducted ministers of Manipur on Wednesday, and expressed confidence that all of them will work diligently towards furthering the development and prosperity of the state.
“I’m confident they will work diligently towards furthering development and prosperity for my sisters and brothers of Manipur,” the Prime Minister posted on his official social media account.
Meanwhile, with the formation of the government, the first cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday, led by Manipur CM Y. Khemchand at the CM Secretariat in Imphal. The newly sworn-in Chief Minister will also attend a reception programme organised by the BJP Manipur Pradesh at its state office located at Nityaipat Chuthek in Imphal.
