PM Modi to Unveil ₹8,500 Crore Projects During Manipur Visit: Sambit Patra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Manipur on September 13, where he is set to launch and inaugurate a series of development initiatives worth nearly ₹8,500 crore, BJP Northeast in-charge Dr. Sambit Patra announced at a press conference on Friday.

According to Patra, the Prime Minister’s visit will begin in Churachandpur at 11:30 a.m., where he is scheduled to meet families living in relief camps and interact directly with internally displaced persons (IDPs). At the Peace Ground, he will lay the foundation stones for projects amounting to about ₹7,500 crore and will also address a public gathering.

Later in the afternoon, around 2:00 p.m., Modi will proceed to Kangla in Imphal, where he will again meet IDPs before dedicating projects valued at ₹1,200 crore. The programme will conclude with the Prime Minister delivering a second public address.

Dr. Patra emphasized that these initiatives, together worth more than ₹8,700 crore, reflect the Centre’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure and welfare in the state.
